ML-DSA is standardized. What must a blockchain still validate?
An algorithm standard is only one part of protocol engineering.
Original source and date
NIST published FIPS 204 on August 13, 2024, specifying ML-DSA, a module-lattice digital signature scheme. This is a reading note on an existing standard, not a new announcement.
PlainKit protocol checklist
When assessing a post-quantum chain, check parameters, implementation version, key management, coverage of transaction and consensus signatures, network abuse defenses, and independent review evidence. A standardized algorithm alone does not establish network safety.
The PQChain project promoted here is an independent candidate-network prototype. Read design goals separately from completed deployment, testing, and review evidence.
